Kot Agent — a free online team word game for up to 16 players
A free online word association party game for 4 to 16 players: two or three teams, plus your own themes and words. You play right in the browser, each on your own phone, with no sign-up and nothing to install. The captain gives a one-word clue and the team guesses which words on the board it points to. It's great for parties, game nights with friends, family evenings and team building. “Kot” means “cat” in Russian, and every player here is a cat.
Up to 16 players and three teams. Split into two or three teams, and they don't have to be equal.
Your own themes. Paste a list of 10 to 200 words from anywhere and they land on the board.
Free. There are no ads, no payments and no sign-up.
No install. The game opens in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer.
How to play
Create a room and invite friends with a link, a QR code or a six-digit code.
Split into two or three teams. Each team has a captain, and only captains can see which words on the board belong to their team.
The captain writes a one-word clue and a number: how many words on the board it links to.
The team reveals words. Your own word scores a point and you can keep going. A neutral word passes the turn. An opponent's word scores a point for them.
A vacuum is hidden among the words. Reveal it and you lose 3 points and your turn.
A round ends when a team has revealed all its words. Captains change, and the best score across the match wins.
What you need

Words for every taste
The board has 25 or 30 cards. Choose easy, normal or hard words, add categories about Dota 2, hip-hop and anime, or paste your own word list and play your own theme. The game also comes in Russian, Kazakh and Chinese, and each room picks its word language.
The board on a big screen
Open kotagent.com/en/tv on a TV or laptop: everyone sees the board, the score and the clues, while captains keep checking the word colors on their phones.
Frequently asked questions
How many people can play?
4 to 16. Each team needs a captain and at least one guesser, so you can't play with fewer than four.
Can we play with three teams?
Yes. Choose two or three teams in the lobby. Three teams need at least 6 players, and the board has 30 cards instead of 25.
Can we add our own words?
Yes. The host pastes a list of 10 to 200 words, separated by commas or on separate lines. The theme can fill a third of the board or all of it.
Is the game really free?
Yes. There are no ads, no payments and no sign-up.
Do I need to download anything?
No. The game opens in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer.
Can we play remotely?
Yes. Players can be in different places: just get on a call and share the room code.
What if someone loses connection?
The game reconnects by itself, and the match is kept on the server.
